Refuge University Network
An initiative by Human Rights Defenders, refugees and displaced persons as a self-help approach facilitated by the Paul Awan Initiative for Development. Its aim is to protect HRDs in conflict-affected places and provide alternative means of education to refugees and those displaced as a result of conflicts and finding opportunities for scholars at risk. As collective of human rights defenders, refugees, displaced persons, and scholars at risk, Refuge University Network falls within the category highlighted by ProtectDefenders.eu as "not having the possibility to register in their countries of operation" (see: https://protectdefenders.eu/supporting-organisations/)
