Gefangenes Wort

People who are persecuted or imprisoned because of their expression of opinion in word, writing and deed or because of their expression of ideas for peaceful, critical and constructive exchange deserve our support. To these people we want to be a haven of refuge. With the project "Hafen der Zuflucht Hesen" (Harbor of Refuge Hesse), the association Gefangenes Wort offers persecuted media professionals a place to think and act freely in uncertain times. They are supported with scholarships to pursue what they are often subjected to political reprisals for in their countries of origin. Our association supports them in continuing their creative work and building a life for themselves in Germany.
