Our overall goal is to help human rights defenders to become aware of the need for self-care as a political tool in their work for human rights. "If human rights activists are given time to disconnect and focus on their personal welfare in a holistic way, if they become aware of their personal condition and how it affects their daily life and struggle for human rights, they have a better chance to change their environment, improve other people's well-being in the area where they work, and be able to continue their work as advocates in a healthier way".
