Tbilisi Shelter City provides relocation and rehabilitation for the HRDs from Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe and pilot support for Balkans and MENA. TSC provides HRDs with a safe space for work and recovery, offering physical and psychological rehabilitation, and developing a support network for them.
The primary mission of Tbilisi Shelter City is the creation of a mechanism for providing comprehensive support and holistic security for HRDs under risk, and promoting their resilience in the times of the systematic human rights crisis in our region.
There are 5 directions of operational activities for achieving the objectives:
- Prevention of professional burnout and raising professional capacities among HRD through conducting at least 3 regular enrolments per year (for 10 persons each);
- Providing emergency support for at least 15 HRDs under immediate threat per year;
- Provision of tailored-made security trainings, including training of trainers;
- International multilingual outsource psychological support service that can be used by HRDs and NGOs from different countries and regions;
- Delivery of security and psychological retreats, including emergency-based retreats for crisis environments like during the war in Ukraine.
